Lee Dam

A drake Pochard in patchy, eclipse-like plumage (a bit late for eclipse I'd have thought but it was not the usual resplendent male plumage you normally see in late winter) at Lee Dam - a new species for this site. One redhead Goosander also present.

A Mute Swan flew over the Rochdale Canal near Lobb Mill, Todmorden, heading towards Hebden Bridge.

Could the Pochard possibly be a Pochard x ? hybrid Jeff?

Mute Swan has become a scarcity in recent years locally so that's a good one for your year list Jeff - and the Pochard as well, of course.

Havent had a Mute Swan for about 4 years now although I havent gone looking for one specially.

Bought a Hx report today from Woodlesford, a good do Nick, a real credit to you.

Could be a hybrid David but it looked too Pochard-like to me so couldn't think what else may be in there - will post a pic for other opinions.
