Red Kites

Had a couple of Red Kites over the garden at Skircoat Green yesterday heading west at around 4.50pm. By the time I got my camera they were just dots in the sky and my camera stubbornly refused to lock on to them so they then became fuzzy dots in the sky. They must get great views from high up there on such a calm and sunny day.
A memorable garden tick :-)

Would these be heading towards Todmorden/Walsden? I had two raptors flying side by side, unidentified, yesterday morning (Sunday). Familiar with jackdaws,; thought might be buzzards; but red kites maybe?? Hm! Not flapping much.
