New camera is performing well Pete, come out well in what looks like a shaded area of the canal with poor light.

Thanks Brian. (It's a Panasonic Lumix FZ82 bridge camera with 60x optical zoom. Not a pocket camera like my TZ80 with 30x optical zoom, but small enough to go in the small rucsac that I use when walking a few miles.)

You should get some decent shots with that Peter, an excellent choice.

Hi Peter,
I have used an FZ72, the older model of your FZ82.
I carried it around my neck and used a waterproof golfers type cap to keep it dry.
The autofocus was excellent, especially for birds in flight pics, and, best of all its no too heavy.
Like you I trek quite a bit.
Good luck with it.
John
