Whimbrel at Ringstone

A pair of Whimbrel briefly this morning (09:00) before flying off high to the NW. 3 Grey Heron, 2 LRP, Ringed Plover also on the north shore and a possible White Wagtail but after my post last year I'm not claiming it!
4 Wheatear and 1 male Whinchat along the west wall.
Gropper still reeling and showing well at Deanhead.

It's quite odd really how you can be fortunate with sitings of one particular species and sometimes struggle like hell with another. Thanks to you I managed to managed to see a cracking male Ring Ouzel on Wholestone Moor the other day, which was my first in the Hudds Area for a few years. I owe you one for that!

My 10 year old daughter has just embarrassed me with my grammar and spelling. Just for the record sitings should read sightings and god knows why I duplicated managed. Jet-lag is my excuse!
