MARCH... 101.
A grey and wet start to the month was broken on the 3rd with a bright sunny
afternoon and I eventually caught up with Treecreeper,( Lesser Pecker and Nuthatch
before Treecreeper, funny how it goes sometimes). At least 10 Chiffchaff at EGP
and 14 Whooper Swans ( clawed another one back) at Ogden on the 27th.
On the 28th,a male Shoveler,4 Redshank and 2 Sand Martins>N at Cold Edge
dams closely followed by 3 cracking male Wheatear at Soil Hill was 100 for the
year.A Scan. Rock Pipit,a real crippler at Blackstone Edge on the 30th was a
first for me taking my Calderdale list to 191 and year list to 101.
A very good March. Andy C.
