Whiteholme ?
Just been for a quick walk on the tops near Whiteholm Res. Parked off road near the gate on Turvin road and followed the culvert round to the Whiteholm Res. Absolutely freezing in a chily wind, only birds seen apart from Pipits were a pair of Pied Wagtails and a pair of Redshank. What name do the the birders give to this section of the moor, Whiteholm ? Shame about the extensive fire damage as many over wintered insects will have been wiped out and thus less food will be about for nestlings later in the season.
