More peregrine news!!!

Steve Blacksmith witnessed an amazing event today. After hearing the 'peg' news, he went down to the Square Chapel to see the peregrines (13:30). They were both out, mobbing a very low flying buzzard over Halifax train station (almost as low as Eureka's windmill). After defending itself a few times, including upside down, the buzzard flew off in the direction of Boothtown.

If someone had told me 20 years ago that this could happen in halifax town centre I wouldn't have believed them, how times change!! (and not always for the worst thankfully).

I'm giving up tramping around the windy moor tops in a fruitless search for raptors - I'm getting a bus into central Halifax from now on!
