Soil Hill

Lively morning on the Hill. Although the number of passage passerines dropped from previous days, excellent numbers of Geese flew over.

  • Counted 662 Pink-footed Geese in 10 skeins from my vantage point on Soil Hill. From these flocks, only 222 passed into Calderdale, the rest passing well to the north. Full breakdown of flocks here;
