Mixenden Reservoir - Herring Gull type ?

Any thoughts on this large Herring Gull type at Mixenden this morning.?
I took these this morning with a view to having a look at the shots this evening....

At times it looked nearly goose like, a large bird compared with the nearby B H Gulls and larger than a L B B Gull that was close by though couldn't get them both together for closer comparison. - maybe just a Herring Gull but the head was so clean and white with a dark eye with no speckling on the head or neck, long legs (colour flesh like from a distance) and long neck though only marginal primary projection. Bill was quite long, yellow with what looked like the red spot on the lower bill.
I had a thought of Caspian Gull but it's a good while since I saw one - just wondered if anyone has any thoughts ????

Gulls are a nightmare, but having just looked at my Helm guide, I can see why you would lean towards Caspian.

Nice find Dave, I,d go for Herring gull still in summer plumage with the fierce head shape and large eye.
