First records for Halifax since 1899
Cleaning out the house, I came across this I did 14 years ago, it never made the bird report so I thought people might find it of interest. I have added the latest from 2002,those marked with an * indicate just one record to date.

I have also noted an error in the last report, 2014 was not the year with the most species recorded, it was in fact 2008 when 166 species were recorded.

Did the long tailed skua have an exact date.??
1 killed at Withens Reservoir on 14th June 1914 was sent to Morley Museum.
Have I missed Wryneck ?
No, there are records from 1844 and 1879 so Ive not included it on the list.
Missed out Little Egret 2003
