Landfill Tax Under threat?

I'm not sure how many people are aware of "landfill tax" but this scheme has benefited many conservation projects since its inception. Basically waste operators have to pay a levy each time they add to landfill but can offset this levy against tax if they "fund" environmental projects within certain distances of a landfill site. Sadly there has now been a proposal to amend the scheme which could see it collapse through an ill-advised 'tweak'. The implications for funding of the projects of many organisations (including for example CBCG) are very serious.
