A great bird for Jan 1st Dave, well found.
Waders are acting strange with a Greenshank 2 Decembers ago and a Redshank last January, both at Fly Flatts, and now this.!

Nice one there Dave. We have had one there before in recent years I think and I'm not sure if it was you or maybe Steve Loveric. ? I have been looking on the previous blogs to find the record but not done so yet !

no sign of the green sand, late morning.had a walk round willow valley with D.F.after he pointed out 2 little owls (a bit of a bogey bird for me).left D.F.to go to Elland G.P.lots of flood damage, including the fence round the ski lake being down by the middle bridge/lock allowing access to the shore.finished the day with 39 species, including a buzzard at barkisland
