Luddenden Dean

This morning from Wainstalls we walked down to Booth then up to Jerusalem Farm and did both sides of the upper dean.
2 pairs of Little Owls in the usual spots
Green Woodpeckers very vocal
2+ Great Spotted Woodpeckers
1 pair Kestrels defending territory
2 Sparrowhawk sightings
1 Grey Heron
1 Dipper
Red Grouse in Midgley Moor
Very few thrushes or other small birds about other than where there are feeders at Jerusalem Farm and The Lowe
Plenty Jackdaws, a few Woodpigeons and Stock Doves.
It was nice to see the sunshine today!
