A Whooper of a Day

                Soil Hill quiet apart from pipits & skylarks 2 grouse
                and a Raptor flying off.
                Went to a certain spot in search of a Little Owl but no joy.
                Better luck up at Fly Flatts area as a Buzzard was circling
                then hovering nr lake, 5 Greylags and plenty of Canada's,
                1 Kestrel, 6 Curlew 20+ Meadow Pipits and 2 Wheatear.
               
                Garden 10 Goldfinch, 8 Chaffinch, 4 Greenfinch,
                2 Dunnock, 2 Collared Dove, 2 Blackbirds, 6 Starlings,
                1 Blue Tit and 60+ Whooper Swans flying over and
                1 Kestrel hovering in field.

What time were your Whoopers Dave? Well done with some Wheatear as well.

Between 9 and half past Dave but some had flown over before that, they were coming from the Oakenshaw, Northowram direction towards Mixenden it was a great sight.

We got them over Lee Mount as well after an alert from Andy at Nothowram EWS!!!

Don't think you needed an alert Dave you could hear them from miles away haha, loved it though.
