thrushes

1 thrush was on the pylons outside my house at 3pm today
i dont know what it was
it flew of east by south east making a noise like a ringed plover
it was blackbird sized
please could somebody help

Dunno, possibilities are Redwing, Fieldfare, Mistle thrush, Song thrush and Blackbird, can't say any of those sound like a Ringed Plover to me though.

it was a very high pitched noise
it was a bit more prlonged than a ringed plovfer but a deffinate "peep" there
