Late morning -great morning !
A skein of Pink-footed Geese came over high around 12:28, making a racket. Heck!! , they are early returners for our winter from northern climes. We usually get them late September and October.
I was surprised they landed, at first on the mud then, unsettled, they went up again and after some hesitancy they alighted on the north end pond area and started grazing.
Final count from flight photo's 95 + 1 straggler that came over later.
Also MH arrived followed by BV just in time to see them before they left >WNW at 12:53,unfortunately disturbed by a jogger.
Also this morning...…...

Stonking photos there Dave, a great mornings work. I,ve only ever had a single Pinkie on the deck at Fly and this is your second lot with your last sighting of the birds on the Flat Moor last year, or maybe year before? This years rushing on, we,ll be looking for winter thrushes next.
Shame I only had the bridge camera today but pleased with some records shots even if it's just for a count.
Bring 'em on …. (the thrushes) !!!!
Pinkies along the east coast as well today with 600+ through Spurn.
My earliest Pinks have been 18th Sept.
Good do with the Pinkies on the deck Dave.
I've only seen the odd one on the ground locally.
Great to get photos as well.
John
Great Stuff Dave
