Copley walk

 Posted on behalf of Gus Robin (birder just moved into the area). Met him while we were over in East Riding looking for Great Grey Shrike!


Walk along River Calder between Copley church and the rail viaduct today -

Pair of dipper singing and displaying.
male goosander.
grey wagtail
sparrowhawk (male)
usual woodland species inc goldcrest heard
one wader seen v. briefly without bins was probably a snipe, but I couldn't refind it.
