A short eared owl drifting east over snowy fields near Cross Stone Road / Great Rock (above Tod') was, I think, the first I've seen this year.
Copies are available at £6.00 each from the GO local store at Woodlesford, Pellon price . Hopefully they will also be available at the Fox and Goose Hebden Bridge ,

Me too Matt. Although I;ve seen them outside Calderdale I haven't seen one around my neck of the woods all year.
Had 2 pair on Rishworth Moor both fledging at least 5 chicks.
