2012 what will it bring??

other than the collapse of the economic world as we know it.

I've been reading the 2009 report and noticing a few birds are missing from the Calderdale list which perhaps expect to be on there. Not because Nick has missed them off but simply because they haven't arrived as yet.

So I shall donate a copy of The Observer Book of Birds to anyone who can name correctly the next new bird for Calderdale (must be seen in 2012).

This is quite a nice book and one of the original bird field guides.

And to get things rolling I'm opting for Red Crested Pochard.
