Wanted
Has anyboby got calls /flight calls of european birds on CD...? I would like to borrow it for a day to download on to my i-pod.Or does anybody know where I could download one off the net...???
Andy - try BTO web site. On home page go to BirdFacts down left hand side. Browse a species and under the image there are 3 options - Image or video or sound. If you click on sound it takes you to a BTO link site. I use it a lot (woodlark for one recently!) once you find your way through there are often many options on different recordings - some are very good - flight calls and song. I think you can download as well. Loads of European and others world wide.
Think you will find this very useful to go with the rest Andy, It seems to have many of the migratory calls included which are just missing from most of the other british stuff. Takes a bit of sorting out but stick to the "world" page even for European species as this includes all of the recordings for each species, whether made in Europe or not.
Copies are available at £6.00 each from the GO local store at Woodlesford, Pellon price . Hopefully they will also be available at the Fox and Goose Hebden Bridge ,

I've got Songs and Calls of British and European Birds on my iPod/iTunes. I'll drop you an email Andy and we can sort something out.
