Coming down Jagger Green Lane after coming off at exit 23 from the M62 there was a big crowd of swallows going to roost or gathering on some wires. Then I noticed some of them were house martins. I stopped the car right under them and they were all house martins - about 200 of them, many flying around, some even perching on young trees. (about 7.15 p.m.)
