Dean Head / Scammonden

Had a walk round between the two reservoirs this evening, very blustery so little to show.

4 curlew
8 Goosander, 1M, 7F
2 Goldeneye, M&F
2 mallard
3 chaffinch
2 Mipit
Lots of Carrion Crow

Oddly there's loads of frogspawn along the path by the dam wall at Dean head as if it's been blown over the wall by the high wind. Was also puzzled by the gate that has appeared in the fence at the eastern end of the dam wall. There's no public footpath that it serves and allowing access would risk disturbance of ground nesting species in the head of the valley.
