Quieter than one would expect at this time of year, but a tree pipit up Withens Clough (higher up than in recent Springs) and two twite over. My ongoing quest for an emperor moth took a peculiar twist today, when I found a single forewing of one on Cragg Road, adjacent to Sunderland Pasture. I also saw my first ever green tiger beetle on the lane up Withens Clough.
Regards, Chris
