Fantastic, a great record Dave, I'll have to try and get up there tomorrow to have a look.

If you go on to the Queensbury Birder link and look at the photos Nigel took, if you click on the lower one to enlarge it you can clearly see the two pale wing marks and the rusty brown panel between them.

I hope the bird stays a few days and someone can get some better photos than we did.

If anyone goes up there, when you get to the field with the manure heap on - try looking for the small Skylark flock first as that is the most likely chance to find the Lap Bunt.

Walk on the top very very slowly and try to find them before they see you otherwise they will be off into the field of long grass and the bunt might go with them! Also beware there were some Reed Buntings with the Skylarks as well this afternoon.
