4 male Lesser Redpolls feeding in the garden this afternoon, all looking stunning in their breeding plumage.

Nice one Jeff, this Redpoll taxonomy has got the better of me!
Yep - me too. They were just Redpolls to me but when I had to enter sightings of them onto the BTO site for the Atlas, I had to decide whether they were Common, Lesser, Mealy or whatever. I had to catch up on Lesser being separated from Common!
Nice visitor to the feeder Jeff. By the way we saw 20 or so Rooks at Wainstalls today - they were heading west!!!!
Well I hope they land and build a few nests around my way Dave. I really need some to restore my sanity! I was walking over Long Preston way this morning and saw around 40 rooks busy building nests. I tried to catch a few and import them but they were too elusive.
