very low numbers from my areas too, Dave has full info
I think its a bit early,I have been watching a small rookery. Last week there were 8 nests and yesterday 11.?There were at least 130 nests in the Greetland Barkisland area yesterday but by next week I bet this is 150???I think the Rookerys have shrunk but there are lots of smaller ones.
Could be, I intend to recheck all mine at a later date.
We are encouraging everyone to check the sites and look for new colonies this month for an initial count and to do another just before the leaves come on.
Encouraging signs in some areas but there are several traditional large sites which have shrunk or are now non existant. Agree with Andy, there seem to be lots of smaller colonies and the number of nests seem to be increasing daily.
