what could make this day better. 1 jack snipe my first and now 3 snow buntings at the same site.
got a text about them from the grapvine and went up in less than 5 mins. nothing else presant probably because it is too dark.

Well done, I'm pleased for you.
Nick Carter and I (then age 15/16) had our first local snow bunting at Fly Flatts 5th Jan '75. Sad person that I am I've still got the cutting from the Courier - oh yes, we were famous (infamous) in those days:
"The enthusiasm of young birdwatchers is not in any way diminished by wintry conditions. During one of the colder, wilder spells two schoolboys .... were on a moor near Fly Flatt Res ... "
Shame we didn't have anything better to do really Nick?
Personally I can't think of anything better to do, I still remember the excitement of finding that Snow Bunting, thank god there is another generation coming through, keep at it Dishfish!
