common gull or was there something more........

unfortunetly not it was just a common gull above my school. as it flew over i thought it must be a ring billed gull but after serious anlysis i have decided against it. how very heartbreaking :-(

Hi Dish Fish,i would recomend two books to you.
1.The Macmillan Field Guide to Bird identification.(very hard to get hold of but brilliant)
2.The Complete Guide to the Birdlife of Britain and Europe by Hayman and Hume(excellent and should be no problem to get hole of.
Both are brilliant for identification of Birds and i still use them both on a regular basis.
