Soil Hill
Checked for Black Redstart yesterday and today without success. Has anyone else seen it? Just a wheatear there this afternoon in the fields down Taylor Lane.
Sorry dishfish - I shouldn't take Wheatears for granted!!!!!!!. There are plenty of Wheatear migrants about just around now. Heading south to Africa. They can be found mainly around upland or moorland. Best check stone walls and rocky areas as they usually perch out in the open - have you got a field guide as I might have a spare if you want one?
Copies are available at £6.00 each from the GO local store at Woodlesford, Pellon price . Hopefully they will also be available at the Fox and Goose Hebden Bridge ,

NK informs me that he has been up Soil Hill on 2 occasions recently in perfect conditions and had no sightings of the Black Redstart.
