Leucistic female mallard?

 


This duck has been around for a few weeks I think it's a mallard, it seems to have a male mallard friend constantly at her(?) side. Any ideas?

Looks interesting. The speculum looks fantastic against the white plumage. I think the bill colour probably makes it a male
