Ring Ouzel

A very heavy crop but as least I managed to get a record shot this time!

The elusive Ring Ouzel at Moselden, seen around 12.30 but couldn't re-locate despite an extensive search by myself, JM, AT, LD.

Same location as the one I saw a couple of weeks ago, same bird maybe or just a coincidence?

Well done Phil. I think they're great birds. Spent 2 hours up ludd Dean today with no luck. As I pulled he text came through that there was one about 200 yds from where I'd been. 😭

Thanks chaps.
I've chased a few last couple of years, both local and over at Flamboro' but always seemed to be 5 minutes too late, then I get two sightings in as many weeks!

Hi Muxy. I tried Ludd Dean yesterday afternoon, no luck ! There were 2 above The Lowe on Saturday according to the farmer. That's how it goes !
Well done Phil - persistence pays off.

Cheers Dave
Would you believe it, went for a walk around Piethorne valley yesterday afternoon (just out of our area) and Lynn spotted a Ring ouzel feeding in the field with a couple of Mistle thrush, she was very pleased to see it as she'd missed the two at Moselden.

Well done Lynn. They occasionally like the company of Mistle Thrushes (safety in numbers).
