Strangest Jumble Hole sighting ever
Not a rarity, but very much out of place - I was just outside in the garden at home (Jumble Hole) on the phone and a kingfisher flew through heading west, calling. It's the last bird I'd expect to see up here! Presumably post breeding dispersal. A garden tick I never expected.

That was a nice surprise !
Unbelievable Dave. I had to stop the person on the other end of the phone and explain why I'd stopped paying attention. Never expected to see one in/through my garden!
I once had a Kingfisher at Mount Tabor on farm land and I think that was in late July as well Matt, these odd things do happen.
