Golf Course and Stodfold area late morning. Pretty quiet but what turned up at the lower end of the course was well worthwhile.
1 male Redstart showing on and off was looking a bit worn. Well done to BS for locating it again this afternoon, though briefly after sweating it out !!!
Also a skulking Whitethroat
1 Reed Bunting
2 Meadow Pipits
Lots of Ringlet and Meadow Brown butterflies in that area in this scorching weather today.
Plenty of Black- headed Gulls this afternoon over Lee Mount hawking insects, maybe flying ants. ?
A perfect afternoon for raptors moving through high on the thermals but couldn't find anything!

Nice find Dave, thanks for the directions to where I never would have gone.
Thanks also for the rollocking I got off Lynda when I got home wet through and she asked me if I was trying to kill myself, but as you say, well worth it.
Re The Butterflies I mentioned at Oxenhope Dave, there were loads on the track by the lodge house, Common Blue I think though not my subject.
