Swifts: Walsden
The four swifts I've been watching above Walsden cricket field are now six. Lots of screeching this morning while my bus was making its time up. Does the screeching mean they have juveniles with them? If so, it's a poor result, isn't it?
Nice record as they are definitely in decline in our area. I think that's the usual indication Sandra as juvs are probably fledging now and maybe the adults are also calling any remaining nestlings out of the nests > maybe (?)
Copies are available at £6.00 each from the GO local store at Woodlesford, Pellon price . Hopefully they will also be available at the Fox and Goose Hebden Bridge ,
