Also it's time to look out for G N Divers with 2 near Manchester yesterday at Audenshaw Res'r. Last year the long staying Mixenden bird turned up on 14 December so local reservoirs are well worth a check. !

Dave, is there a blog or forum covering Audenshaw? It used to be on the Manchester one, but was taken off a couple of ears ago I think.
Hi Chris, I saw it on BirdGuides (which I guess I should have acknowledged.)
I tried to check the reservoirs there once but couldn't find a way in other than legging it over very big fence ! so I didn't bother.
Cheers Dave. It's a strange place, with a shroud of secrecy hanging over it. I once spent ages trying to find a way in (for a black throated diver), then realised that the gate wasn't even locked!
