6th May
Wood Warbler singing 200 yards before Gibson Mill in the crags this evening, nothing much else except for Tawny Owl, Jays, Great Spot and lots of Song Thrushes. 3 Swifts earlier over Heath Hill Road (118).
Three Swifts dashing low over the roofs in Ripponden this afternoon, Nick. My first for the year and the thrill never gets less. Also I could hear them screaming, which was even better, as it means my hearing isn't as bad as I thought!
Copies are available at £6.00 each from the GO local store at Woodlesford, Pellon price . Hopefully they will also be available at the Fox and Goose Hebden Bridge ,
