More goosander
I thought what about a detour via Lumbutts - stopped at Lee dam where 10 goosander ( 4 Male 6 Redheads) were swimming in what open water there was. Male Goldeneye on Longfield pond again in the limited open water!
I go to Lee Dam almost every day Mark and there were just 3 on there yesterday (2 male, one female). None this morning on my way past to Withens Clough, but 2 Goldcrests were in the conifers to the right as you walk from the Top Brink end.
Hi Jeff - I could hardly believe it myself! I had to pinch myself and count at least 3 times - it was getting on towards to 4 in the afternoon. I spent some time regretting my camera as six of the birds were just by the lane and would have made great pictures!
Copies are available at £6.00 each from the GO local store at Woodlesford, Pellon price . Hopefully they will also be available at the Fox and Goose Hebden Bridge ,
