Barn Owl nestboxes
The CBCG has recently purchased 9 Barn Owl boxes, we intend to place three in the Tree Sparrow area, one in Northowram and two at Bradley Hall GC. The remaining boxes were originally intended for the EGP area but as the proposed location is due to undergo capping work followed by habitat creation we have decided to delay locating these boxes until this work is completed. If anyone knows of area where they feel barn owl boxes may be useful please get in contact. Further boxes could be purchased if there are considered to be enough locations.

Nick, did you mean Bradley Park GC rather than Bradley Hall?
Bradley Hall GC is near Stainland and Bradley Park GC is the other side of the M62 to the West of Bradley Hall Farm. It may be the name of the farm that is confusing matters. All the emails have stated Bradley HALL GC but the address of Stuart Wilkinson is Bradley Junction Industrial Estate
Leeds Road
Huddersfield
HD2 1UR
so maybe we do mean Bradley Park GC.
Thanks for that Jeff, I spoke to someone about 10 days ago who informed me that Barn Owl have been seen seen in the Bradley Hall Farm area fairly regularly since last October.
Hi David & Jeff. The site is Bradley Hall Golf Club, Stainland. We were asked for advice re bird/habitat conservation on the golf course a couple of years ago & noted the potential for Barn Owl habitat - there are several "rough pasture" fields adjacent to the course. Given that the species successfully breeds near Bradley Hall Farm Fixby, I think our resources are better employed at the Stainland site.
Fair enough Tim I can't argue with that, I just thought Nick might have made a typographical error, I should have known better!
Just picked up on this thread, thanks for your input Jeff/Tim, I have confirmed with the Club officials the course is known as Bradley Hall Golf Club at West Vale/ Holywell Green
