Everyone is probably getting fed up of Waxwing photos and not the best light last Friday afternoon but I'll just post a few shots as every other regular contributor seems to have done!
For the record 100+ were feeding on rowan berries near the junction of Thornhill Road and Branston Gardens at 14:30hrs on 3 December

I, for one, aren't fed up of Waxwing photos. Let's enjoy them while they're here because they'll disappear all too soon. Seeing everyone else's great photos makes me all the more keen to try and get some decent shots myself, as I've only managed a few from about 100 yards away. Down to Gordon Riggs tomorrow I think.
Waxwings are one bird that you can't really get tired of. I've already got plenty of footage, but will still try for more. I'm after some of birds eating berries other than red rowans....yellow rowans, cotoneasters or rose hips perhaps. Despite the amount of footage I have, there are not that many that show off the wing patterns that well. It's also useful to know how their diet changes (if at all) throughout the winter. I bet none are fly-catching now the arctic chill is here. Meanwhile, where are all the thrushes, redwings and fieldfares in particular. I had about 10 Blackbirds in a Hawthorn in Bradford this morning, and Mistle thrushes are dotted about here and there, defending their particular Rowan but no flocks of redwings around at the mo.
Great shots David,I think this was the very mobile flock from Lane Head which seem to have moved on as has the Stratton Rd flock which numbered 62.
