The top dam at Cold Edge is quite low with lots of exposed mud so might be chance of an odd wader. Shame it wasn't like this in late summer!

Good numbers of gulls Dave. Are these normal of this time of day?

The gulls seem to move between Cold Edge/Mixenden Res'r/Ogden Res'r during the day and think they head off to Thornton Moor to roost - mostly BH and Common Gulls. They will be around most of the winter now. There used to be a good winter roost of gulls at Fly Flats but they seem to have deserted that spot (dont blame them)! But Thornton Moor Res is very exposed.
