Mid-day;
c400 Golden Plover and c120 Lapwing in the fields along with c60 Starlings kept getting spooked by a female Sparrowhawk. The waders gave fantastic views wheeling round high overhead - nearly as good as Morecambe Bay!

48 Pink-footed Geese seen high over the M62 heading west at 11:45
9 squadrons of Starlings (total of 230 birds) moving west skimming low over the ground at speed - fantastic birds to watch when they are on the move.
