"Observed nest material being collected by Blue Tit,Great Tit, Blackbird and Robin ,finished off with bacon butty"...I'm intrigued Mike. I have never heard of these birds finishing off the nest with bacon butties before, presumably due to a shortage of wool and feathers locally :-))

Avocet is the name of the factory at the bottom of the Angling Lake, IE the Old Kosset Carpets factory. Like Andy I saw the post header and thought an Avocet had been spotted at Elland Gravel Pits. Perhaps the factory owners could be persuaded to change the name to Cormorant instead which should wind the anglers up no end :-))
