Elland Gravel Pits Meeting

A meeting was held this evening at Elland Gravel Pits with Tim Edge (Calderdale Countryside Ranger), Nick Carter, Andy Cockroft and myself being present. Tim informed us of the plans to return the site to it's former glory, with the help of the Environment Agency. Whilst no firm commitment has yet been made by the Environment Agency we hope to have some very positive news from them in the next couple of weeks. I shall inform you of that as and when I hear something.
For the record Kingfisher, Grey Heron, Teal, Sparrowhawk and a Water Rail were seen as we were shown the site and the areas where the work will take place.
