Bramblings

Found at least 14 Bramblings feeding on beech mast down Shaw Wood Road today (that's one of the roads leading up to Mankinholes). As with the other flocks of Brambling reported they were flighty but I managed one or two photos.
Here's one of them and just for fun can you count how many Bramblings there are here?


I'll post the same pic later with the birds highlighted. Clue - there's more than half the number stated above.

Also around were 2 Great Spotted Woodpeckers, both drumming and a Nuthatch singing.
