Out and About

Spent the weekend on a wild frog hunt, trying to find locations that don't suffer from to much noise pollution in an attempt to get some clean sound recordings. I managed a few recordings but none were free of background noise.

Yesterday,

Cromwell Bottom had the water boiling with frogs at Tag Cut with 13 clumps of spawn and some additional spawn in the wet woodland.
A pair of Little Grebes were calling on the lagoon
Great Spotted Woodpecker drumming
Bullfinches on the feeders

No frog activity at Roils Head.

Today, there were a small number of frogs at Shibden,

Sunny Vale had;
No frogs

a Grey Heron,
3 Black-headed Gulls,
Coot,
4 Moorhen and
2 Little Grebe.

Bowers Mill;
