Jay House Lane Yesterday Whilst feeding the tree sparrows I had a walk round the area. there are about 15 - 20 tree sparrows; the curlew are back and were calling. There seem to be quite a lot of rooks but not much sign of nest building yet. In the wood there was GSP drumming, chiff chaff singing,lots of blue and great tits, wren. robin 2 blackbirds Chaffinch singing, 3 red wings, gold finches, starlings ( but not the numbers seen recently) jackdaws and crows.
