Is the nuthatch still nest-building? I have just transferred the footage onto my PC that I shot last weekend of a nuthatch cementing up a hole in a bole of a tree on the far side of the lake. I'll be uploading this in due course. I'm assuming we are talking about the same site here. Could you e-mail or text me the location of the green peckers. I'll be re-visiting the nuthatches over the next few weeks and an LTT site down that way. Having a Green Pecker site in the vicinity means that I could follow the progress of all three. I discovered a Green Pekker site at the end of the season the year before last. Unfortunately, the site was unoccupied last year and Green Pekker numbers seemed to be down after a hard winter. I half expect this winter to have had a bad effect on this years numbers. Cheers la.

Brain cell must have been dead ,I have amended Green to Great Spotted and we are talking same site and Nuthatch were seen to copulate on fri and sun morning. The Great Spotted are in a new hole in the tree to the right of the Nuthatchand the LTT must be the one in the broom bush near the path. Now 2 Swallows at Brookfoot. If I find the Greens site I will let you know. Mike.
