Rare Garden Visitor

Got up this morning and the first thing I clamp my eyes on as I stare out the kitchen window turns out, having quickly grabbed some bins, is a Redpoll. This is quickly joined by 2 others one of which stood out as being paler with a distinct white (rather than the buff on the other 2) wing bar. streaking on the flanks also seemed more defined.

Whether this was a Meally or not would take a better birder than I to tell you but nether the less Redpoll in the garden is a rare site.

Last weekend (Sunday lunch) a Kingfisher was on the canal Hebden side of Mytholmroyd just past Burnley Rd School by the bridge.
