Long time since I went to Lighthazzles Pete and even longer since I went to Warland. I once walked from Stoodley Pike to Blackstone Edge. That walk as far as Warland was the best I've ever known in Calderdale for Skylarks. Probably just the right time of year but it was a alive with them in song flight. I don't know if it's like that nowadays though I would like to think so !
A few times I've caught a bus to Blackstone Edge, then walked the Pennine Way to Hebden Bridge via Stoodley Pike. About 7 1/2 miles. Today on the stretch of Pennine Way between Lighthazzles and Blackstone Edge I heard only one Skylark.
Copies are available at £6.00 each from the GO local store at Woodlesford, Pellon price . Hopefully they will also be available at the Fox and Goose Hebden Bridge ,
