Correct Brian. Second one I've seen predated here in the past couple of years.
Brian sumner said. A shame for such a nice bird Matt. You can send my prize through the post ta.
Quick off the mark again Bri. Nice one Matt.
a single sprwk is worth 10 GSW any day ;-) (I'm biased off course: my favourite bird. They were so so rare when I started birding. I think I remember my first - Esholt SW. It was soaring. Just couldn't work out what it was - my search image of sprwk was flap, flap glide and hedge hodging. I even thought about Bzzd - hadn't seen that then either. Eventually worked it out.)
Sorry, wandered off topic a bit: btw I've seen several more hobby than sprwk down here in Oxon. Too many chemicals on this 80% agricultural landscape county?
hedge hopping - not hodging!
